From Málaga Airport to Almuñécar
Almuñécar is 90 km east of Málaga Airport, around 70 minutes on the A-7 and the coastal N-340. It already belongs to the province of Granada: this is the Costa Tropical, where the cliffs drop straight into the sea and the hillsides grow mango, avocado and custard apple. The last stretch past Nerja is one of the most spectacular drives in Andalusia, a succession of tunnels and viaducts above the water.
The fixed price is €115 for 1–4 passengers in a premium Tesla sedan, including the whole municipality and La Herradura. For groups of 5–7 we quote the Tesla minivan on WhatsApp. There is no train anywhere near, and a metered taxi on this route regularly passes €150, so the fixed price is agreed before you travel and does not move.
Good to know
The cliff road between Nerja and Almuñécar is beautiful but winding. If anyone in your party gets car sick, say so when you book and the driver takes the curves accordingly. Allow the full 70 minutes rather than 60 if you have a check-in deadline.
La Herradura and Marina del Este are 5 to 10 minutes before Almuñécar town and are included in the same fixed price. Many apartments there sit on steep private lanes, so send us the building name and a map pin and the driver will know exactly where to stop.
