From Málaga Airport to Granada
Granada is 135 km from Málaga Airport, about 90 minutes on the A-45 and A-92 motorways. Málaga has far more international flights than Granada's own airport, so this is the standard way to reach the Alhambra from abroad. The bus from Málaga takes 2 hours plus the transfer into the city; the train requires a change. A private transfer takes you from the arrivals hall straight to your hotel in the centre, the Albaicín or up by the Alhambra.

Good to know
Much of central Granada is a restricted traffic zone with cameras. Hotels can register your vehicle, so send us the hotel name when booking and the driver will take you to the door legally. For the Albaicín's narrow streets, the driver drops you at the closest access point and helps with the bags.
Alhambra tickets sell out weeks ahead. If your visit is timed for the afternoon of your arrival, tell us your slot and we will make sure the pick-up leaves enough margin.
